ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Hamidou Horticulture is a student-led urban agriculture initiative focused on growing fresh produce on campus while promoting food sovereignty, sustainability, and community education.
The program creates hands-on opportunities for students to engage with food systems, from planting and maintenance to harvesting and distribution. It emphasizes reconnecting students with the origins of their food while contributing to a more localized and sustainable campus food network.
Beyond food production, Hamidou Horticulture serves as a learning and community-building space, encouraging ecological awareness, skill-sharing, and collective care.
