ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Chez Liliane is a meeting place where the Nutrition Department invites you for lunch during the winter months. Flavor and conviviality make this community food service a unique place where you are guaranteed a healthy and balanced meal.
This project is aimed at the entire university community who wish to enjoy a healthy and delicious meal at a very affordable price. The future nutritionists who run this service have developed inclusive menus designed to incorporate a wide range of local foods.
Furthermore, nearly a quarter of professional nutritionists in Quebec work in the management of institutional food services. Upon graduating from university, nutritionists must master the multiple functions related to managing such services: measuring client needs and desires, menu planning, portion specification, development and refinement of standardized recipes, management of meal purchasing and production, management of human, financial and material resources, evaluation of satisfaction, quality improvement, etc.
This project offers students an opportunity to put into practice all the knowledge related to their profession by allowing them to integrate the sciences of management, food and nutrition while ensuring customers a meal that provides pleasure and flavour with every bite.
