ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The “Frigo-Momo” at Collège de Montmorency in Laval redistributes food to students for free, supporting the school community in the face of inflation and rising student financial insecurity. This project also helps combat food waste.
Since the project began, an impressive amount of food has been diverted from landfills. Approximately 4,550 pieces of fruit and vegetables, 1,400 desserts and pastries, 890 meals, and 624 eggs have been saved from waste through this initiative launched by the college’s students!
Facilitated by the Environmental Committee supported by AGEM and the CEGEP Foundation.
